The Young Princess Kills Everyone: Re
The upper floor of Pupa’s main office was Yueri’s laboratory.
Since meeting Mitis, she had been putting together the control unit for World Destruction here.
By her own hands, she created the device that would destroy the world – it was not difficult to imagine that this gave Yueri a strong sense of pleasure by satisfying her appetite for destruction.
Many human corpses were crucified against the room’s walls.
Justia’s hands and feet were nailed with stakes, and her head was limply hanging down.
They were all dead, with broken hands and feet, or full of lacerations, or decay, while their bodies were covered in kiss marks; they were all in various different conditions.
In all likelihood, Yueri probably cherished each one of Justia’s corpses in different ways depending on her mood and personality at that moment.
Yueri wholeheartedly enjoyed the current situation.
She did not need a knife to cut the flesh.
She did not need a drill to churn the guts.
Because she could touch her beloved by her own hands and destroy her without using any tools.
Because right now, Yueri could freely change her body’s shape.
Indeed, she abandoned her human form a long time ago.
The ‘Yueri Turquoise’ in this room was a giant lump of flesh that pulsated unsteadily.
She was already so when Mary and the others encountered her in Pupa’s laboratory.
The Yueri who appeared in her previous form was not the real thing, but an ‘alter ego’ created from the ‘real bodies’ in the deepest part of the laboratory.
And in the time it took for Mary and the others to kill Henry in the royal capital, she had moved to Pupa’s headquarters.
Blood vessels bulged on the surface of Yueri’s face, and her skin randomly tore due to her desire for self-mutilation.
Thick blood and a semisolid human body – probably Yueri’s body – got spat out from her wound.
She stretched her tentacles and crushed it with a sense of abhorrence, and absorbed it in her body through her wound again.
She repeated this senseless, chaotic and incomprehensible act over and over again.
Love, a desire to kill, self-hatred, and the desire for ruin.
These things mixed like coloring materials and created a foul ashen color.
That was what she represented.
Perhaps it was not exactly correct, but the closest word to express her condition was ‘death’.
She was dead.
She was dead but still moving around.
So it was a waste of time to try and understand her, and if Mitis was sharing her plans with Yueri, then she did not think of her as a human being either.
Calaria stood in front of Yueri.
Wearing her maid uniform, she was just looking ahead with out-of-focus eyes.
Calaria was under World’s control, and had her sense of self taken away by Mitis’s hands.
That was what Yueri wished for.
It was best for her to be a puppet if they were not going to understand each other anyway.
Yueri’s head emerged from inside her body.
From the neck down, she only had long and narrow tentacles for a body.
They stretched out to Calaria and got close enough to touch her lips.
“Calaria…… Hehe.”
Yueri happily smiled, putting her mouth next to Calaria’s cheeks and licking her.
“I can taste you.”
Then, Calaria put her right hand closer to Yueri.
She was ordered to do so through thoughts.
Then, Yueri licked Calaria’s index finger with her long tongue, and put it in her mouth.
She kept licking it, and finally sunk her teeth into it and bit it off.
She rolled the finger around in her mouth like candy, thoroughly chewed it, then swallowed.
“Aaah…… Wonderful, the texture is so much better than a normal human’s……”
She let out a long sigh of ecstasy.
Then, she put her forehead against Calaria’s, and spoke.
“I wonder, how many people in this world know that the blood and flesh of blood relatives taste similar? I know. My flesh and my sister’s flesh taste similar. But mine is more off-flavor and bitter. I bet it’s because of the impurity of my soul staining it.”
No one heard her speaking to herself.
But Yueri never valued the presence of others in the first place.
The important thing was to raise herself up.
“Your flesh is somewhere in the middle. So is the taste of your skin. Your flavor reveals that you are me and my sister’s child, after all. I love the flavor of human flesh.”
Then, the tentacles holding her up suddenly pulsated.
“Uppugh!…… Ugh!…… Gubbugh, eeegh!”
Yueri pulled her face away from Calaria and spat Calaria’s finger out along with some mucus.
She vomited for a while after that.
“Aaah, I…. Why, why am I doing this? Disgusting. My body, my soul, disgusting. I wanna vanish. I wanna go away. Die. Die. Die. Yueri Turquoise must die- agh, ah, agh!”
Yueri’s head twitched and convulsed as her skin turned purple.
Her tentacles also rotted away, losing their strength, and her unsightly head fell to the ground.
It gradually melted into a gel, and transformed into a soft and floppy lump of flesh.
New tentacles stretched out.
The tentacles entwined this flesh, and threw it against the wall.
It crashed into Justia’s body.
The flesh burst, and Justia’s body also scattered around into pieces.
The smell of decay filled the room.
Calaria did not react.
Naturally, because she was a puppet.
Then, Yueri’s head slid out from her body once again, and got closer to Calaria.
Then, she put her mouth next to Calaria’s ear this time.
“Ahahahaha. Sister and I are one now ahahahaha.”
Yueri’s laughter filled the room up.
While laughing, she formed another mouth with sharp teeth emerging from the top of her first mouth, and bit Calaria’s ear.
She loudly chewed it and bit into it.
“Ahahahahaha. Ahih, hnngh, ahahahahahahaha.”
Her laughter reverberated.
Chewing. Laughter. Chewing. Flirting. Chewing. Possessed screaming.
Yueri was normal here, where madness dominated everything.
So no one stopped her, and no one could stop her.
Digi was secretly watching the room from above the ceiling.
“I’m not one to talk, but…… she’s crazy.”
She snuck into Pupa’s headquarters before Mary using her teleportation powers.
She had installed herself with artificial arms and legs to make up for her lost limbs.
She found those trial products laying around in Pupa’s headquarters and borrowed them.
They used mana to function, so other than the loss of feeling, they were not much different than normal arms and legs.
No, in fact, she felt that they were even higher in physical ability.
In the first place, since Calaria left her half-dead, Digi had wounds all over her body as she could not receive any proper medical care.
Her body temperature was low, but it still felt hot inside her body.
She felt a constant sharp pain in her wounds on her limbs, including her lungs and abdomen, and her face looked pale.
She would soon die if left alone.
That was salvation for Digi, but she did not allow herself the relief of death.
She had to suffer more.
She had to feel more pain.
So she continued moving like this.
Even now, she was looking for opportunities to release Calaria from World’s control.
“Sorry, Calaria. You went out of your way to push this duty onto me and run away. But I’m going to pull you back in.”
Digi herself did not even know whether this was out of ill spite or good will anymore.
And she just had to wait.
When Calaria and Yueri left this room, she could use her Cup to remove World’s control.
However, Digi had a thought.
(……Well, they know I’m here, naturally.)
At the very least, Mitis had to know that there was an intruder here.
She was in the upper floors of this building.
She was not someone who could not notice this from so up close.
If Digi was being played with, then-
(At the very least, I don’t think she cares about the details of our fight. She just wants Mary to defeat everyone and reach her. So that’s why she’s letting me do this…… maybe.)
Both for Yueri and Mitis, there was no one left who could understand the reasoning behind their deeds.
Even if Digi heard sounds of fighting coming from outside, she would simply focus on what’s in front of her.
And Yueri, who teased and made fun of Calaria, ignored her.
Without even frowning in pain, Calaria was suddenly ordered, ‘leave’, and left the room.
Digi moved.
She activated her powers the moment Calaria went out into the corridor and closed the door.
The cup emerged in Digi’s hand and filled up with a thick red liquid.
It was Mitis’s blood that was injected into Calaria.
Then, a transparent liquid – this was the mana of control.
Calaria should have gone back to normal after this was all taken out of her.
But she continued moving and walking like a puppet towards some destination.
(It’s not working? No, that’s not possible.)
Digi used her teleport, and for the sake of caution, followed Calaria while making sure to stay hidden.
And when they arrived at a different floor, Calaria looked up at the ceiling and spoke.
“I don’t think she’ll hear us from here.”
Digi came down in front of her.
Then, she spoke as if spitting the words out.
“Oh, so you were already back. Boring.”
“And you’re alive, which is boring too.”
“As you can see, I’ve powered up before coming back here.”
Digi swung her mechanical artificial arms to the sides, and Calaria scornfully laughed.
“You’re just barely staying alive.”
“That hurts, you know. As you say, it’s taking everything from me just to keep standing. This pain feels like a reward, it’s so exciting.”
“You’re just like Yueri, you make me nauseous.”
“I agree. I hate this version of myself. Because I know this wouldn’t even make Carm happy.”
“Hmph. Well, if you can help me kill Yueri, I don’t care.”
“You sound really self-important, but you were under control just earlier, weren’t you? You’re also missing half an ear, and look what’s happened to your body.”
“I was also showered in vomit.”
“Wow, that’s torture.”
“Yeah, I gotta return the favor.”
Saying that, Calaria started to walk.
Digi quietly lined up next to her without saying anything.
“Where are you going?”
“Here.”
Calaria kicked open a door.
Digi said, ‘Whoa, so barbaric’, and looked at her with contempt.
Calaria ignored this and opened a toolbox in the room, then took out something resembling a switch.
Then, she immediately pushed the button.
A shrill explosion shook the ground and pebbles fell from the ceiling.
“Whoa…… What was that sound?”
“A bomb. I set one up in a room with some important-looking devices.”
“Huh? Weren’t you under control?”
“I was. But it’s the same as before; it looks like World isn’t that interested in me, and she can’t fully control me.”
Would World really repeat the same failure? Digi was suspicious.
Well, Mitis having ‘no interest’ in Calaria was good enough a reason for her to let Calaria do as she pleased.
However, she had to be a bit more cautious than she was before.
Even if there were domains Mitis could not control, Calaria still seemed too normal.
No, her presence was strange from the very start, no matter which way one looked at it.
A monster who fought arcana users by using only weapons and no sorcery; Calaria Turquoise.
“……What am I, really?”
Calaria spoke after a quiet sigh.
It seemed that she herself was curious about this as well.
In the end, now that Justia was dead, the truth would remain in the shadows.
“Maybe Yueri had nothing to do with the reason Justia gave you special treatment and escaped with you.”
“Maybe it’s because of my physical constitution. If so, that woman won’t be rewarded either.”
Calaria left the room.
She wanted to return to Yueri.
Digi also frantically followed after her.
Calaria’s legs were clearly faster.
The difference in speed was such that when Calaria ran, Digi could only keep up with her by teleporting.
Digi asked while running side-by-side with Calaria:
“You have weapons, right?”
“She probably wanted to turn me into an angel and make me fight Mary. Right now, Mitis is probably annoyed by this development as well.”
“I bet, or she’s laughing because she thinks it’s fun.”
“Give me a break.”
“Yeah. We can’t let her have everything in the palm of her hand.”
“It’s pretty creepy to have the same opinion as you.”
“You’re the one saying that?”
They returned to the floor where Yueri was again.
Calaria gripped her Machinaneus in its two pistol mode, and Digi held her wand.
“I don’t sense a desire to fight.”
“You can be the vanguard.”
“You mean a pincer attack?”
“I hate to team up with you, but I’m even more disgusted by Yueri.”
“Unfortunately, that’s very convincing logic.”
“So, do we go together? Or go for a surprise attack?”
“……Yueri is obsessed with me. A surprise attack might be nice.”
“Alright then.”
“I hope I can defeat her without your help.”
Calaria kicked open the door.
The door flew like a bullet, so fast that it would be an effective preemptive strike if Yueri was there.
But when Calaria charged in, she only saw a lump of scorched flesh and completely broken devices.
She kept cautious and moved to the center of the room.
(I never heard anyone claim Yueri is an arcana user. She could simply be a human being who was injected with an excess of blood by Mitis, but-)
Could that really be the case?
Could the human being appointed by Mitis, the human being who created the homunculi, really not be an arcana user?
“Where are you, Yueri? Come out. I know that explosion wasn’t enough to kill someone like you!”
After Calaria shouted, as she expected, she saw flesh seeping in from the gaps in the floor.
It eventually formed the shape of a human, and emerged as a woman with glasses wearing a white robe.
Calaria aimed at her.
“You betrayed me.”
Yueri spoke with deep hatred.
