Wheels floated up in the area.
The twins looked at this bizarre sight and spoke.
“We fought a god. Yes, and we won. An arcana user can’t beat us now!”
Their blood vessels drew an image.
Sun’s power to manipulate the future activated.
“I didn’t touch anything, but there’s a pattern on the back of my hand!”
Erio’s power targeted Mary and linked with Moon’s power to activate it – or it was supposed to.
“It’s fine. Let me handle it. Because I’m the ruler in Fortune Wonderland!”
The floating wheels began spinning as the landscape slightly distorted.
Then, Mary heard a cracking sound and the image on her hand vanished.
“The future is broken, the past is unchanged.”
“As long as you’re in this space, destiny belongs to me. I won’t let you hinder my sis’s future!”
“But you need a lot of mana to maintain it, and you can’t attack. You can’t resist if we directly overwrite you.”
“You can’t do that, because you can’t get close to us.”
Mary rapidfired her Burial Cannon with her right arm.
The shells were all hidden by Hermit, and could not even be sensed.
“Now I’m gonna scatter you into pieces!”
In short, the twins could do nothing but evade.
They vanished right before the shots landed, and reappeared in a different spot.
“Hmmm, Moon’s power still activates without going through Sun……”
“But Sun’s power is useless if we deny contact and stop it from activating. We have the advantage in this battle!”
“That’s not gonna work. Erio has Sun.”
A blazing red sphere materialized in the twins’ right hand.
It burned hot enough to burn the skin even from a distance, and was truly a Sun.
“Erini has Moon.”
Then, a dim sphere in their left hand.
That one felt like it was emitting a cold.
“And since we are one right now, we form a karyogamy.”
When combined, they turned into a single ball of light.
Not hot, and not cold.
But it certainly contained a vast amount of mana.
“It’s too late for that now!”
Mary shot her Burial Cannon.
The shell turned to dust and disappeared when it touched the light.
“A simple lump of mana with no petty tricks……”
“It’s normally a power that changes the past and the future, but we can’t underestimate this one either.”
“Shadow and light cancel each other out to produce a mana of high purity.”
The twins and the ball vanished after they spoke.
Mary noticed a faint line of light.
“Watch out!”
She leaped to push Ami down.
The twins emerged there.
Along with the ball that would erase anyone who touched it, of course.
“T-Thank you, sis.”
“How cowardly to dodge even the rewriting of the past, isn’t it Erio? Yeah Erini, it’s absurd.”
The arcana of Star had powers that surpassed the concept of time.
If the enemy tried to kill Mary by changing the past, then it showed Mary the way in accordance to it.
“I don’t think she can use it and dodge in quick succession, though.”
The twins disappeared again.
As they pointed out, even if Star showed the way, it was only for a moment.
Whether she could follow up or not was up to Mary.
“Ami, hug me!”
“Mhm, gladly!”
Mary hugged Ami with both arms, then repeatedly vanished and reappeared while running from the ball and the twins.
Ami also shot wheels when they reappeared to stop the twins from attacking, but she could not hit the target.
And after Mary dodged the ball a few times, the twins reached out to her with their blood vessels.
Their mouth crooked and twisted, almost as if saying, ‘got you!’
“Emperor!”
A soldier holding a sword emerged to knock down the blood vessels stretching towards Mary.
The twins immediately carved an image into the soldier and dispersed it, but Mary used this opportunity to get away.
“She avoided it, Erio. What a shame, Erini. But we’re almost there, Erio. Mhm, we can almost kill her, Erini.”
“Sorry to disappoint. I was thinking about which card to use, because I have so many.”
“What……?”
“Hierophant, forbid drawing images. And Temperance, you two cannot draw images.”
The twins were restricted after that proclamation.
The version of Temperance Mary consumed was not as absolute as Philias’s, but it could definitely slow down the enemy’s movements.
“……It’s getting hard to make a move, Erini. What’s gonna happen if we draw, Erio? We’ll probably turn into stone. That’s not good, we’ll be useless. Mhm, it’s no good. We’d need time to regenerate and use our powers again. We have to slow down the frequency. Yep.”
“You won’t survive that long. I’ve shut down your means of defending yourselves, so I’m going to finish you off now.”
Mary intentionally broke her own body and a bike with no wheels emerged from within it.
“Ah, a bike! It’s my turn now, right?”
Ami quickly sensed her role and attached her wheels to the empty spaces.
“Hanged Man, Devil, Power, Chariot, Empress.”
“And Wheel of Fortune! A full course of a lavish arcana feast!”
“You’re just using brute force like an idiot. You can’t break through our karyogamy like that. Besides, we can still change the past.”
“Don’t be so naive.”
“Yeah, yeah!”
“Bestial explosive power, and the acceleration power of a chariot. A single attack which contains so many powers-”
“It’s a monster car that would shock even a god!”
Ami’s remark was slightly grandiose, but Mary did not deny it.
There was so much power here that the impact could change the shape of the earth around them.
“Let’s go!”
“Gaaaaagh!”
Along with the sound of wheels turning and the roar of a beast, Mary’s attack approached the twins in the blink of an eye.
Mary clashed against the ball of light, and as pieces were shaved off her own body, she blew the ball up like a balloon.
The twins stretched their blood vessels and carved an image into the vehicle’s body.
The past changed.
They made it so that Mary’s attack never happened – or they thought they did.
“It’s not going away, Erini. Why, Erio? Erini. Erio. Erini! Erio!”
But the attached wheels, and more than that, Mary’s mana, prevented the alteration in causality.
The beast broke its form but kept its power as it crashed into the twins.
Their upper body got blown off.
Only two legs remained standing on the spot.
“We did it!”
Ami cheered.
But Mary was still cautious.
“No, they’re still coming!”
“Huh? Whoa, there’s tentacles coming out of the cut!? Disgusting!”
There were enough blood vessels to change coordinates again.
Mary thought they would immediately attack again.
For some reason, however, the twins did not attack.
Mary shot a shell, and the twins evaded by changing coordinates, but did not try to harm Mary.
(They were attacking me so aggressively just now, but they stopped……? Do they still have some trick up their sleeve?)
Mary’s guess proved to be right.
The twins suddenly vanished despite Mary not attacking them.
“Huh, they’re gone? Did they flee far away……?”
Mary tried to sense their presence and looked up above her head.
The twins’ messy and squishy flesh was regenerating as it floated in the air.

“Ami, is there a wheel over there?”

They could not directly carve an image into their foe at this distance.
Because the twins could not put their hands on Mary and Ami while they were surrounded by wheels.

A giant mountain changed coordinates and fell from above their heads.
“That’s a crazy trick.”
Mary laughed after seeing the mountain floating in the air.
When things are hopeless, one had no choice but to laugh – that was not why Mary laughed, though.
“There’s nothing special about this other than its size.”
In other words, Mary laughed because this did not scare her.
It was just a ridiculously large mass.
Its power was ordinary.
Its speed was also ordinary.
In which case, there was no reason Mary could not destroy it.
“Yeah. It’s just a mountain, so we can break it together!”
“We will crush our foes along with that mountain!”
They nodded and got ready to attack.
The mountain came down on their heads while stirring up the air.
There was not much time left now.
“I’ll use all of my wheels to accelerate you, sis-”
Ami used all of the wheels that made up Fortune Wonderland to support Mary.
She deployed a few wheels on Mary’s back, turned them at high speed and gave Mary propulsive power.
Wheels floated up around Mary’s massive right bone arm and gave it more power.
Meanwhile, Mary struck the ground with her heels and checked how it felt.
The twins were hundreds of meters up in the air.
Mary needed a lot of velocity to jump all the way up there.
The arcana she used to do that was Tower.
“Million Corpses!”
A tower of bones rose under Mary.
She suddenly sped up with its momentum.
“Burial Fiiiiist!”
Then, the wheels on Mary’s back pushed her and her velocity increased by hundreds of times.
“Ooooooooo!”
Mary felt a fierce G-force as she thrust forward with her fist.
“I’ll destroy this mountain and everything around it!”
The mountain broke through the thick clouds as it crumbled and lit the ground up.
Mary pierced it all the way through and headed for the twins in a direct line ahead of her.
Power, causality, and acceleration – They could not block Mary’s attack from all these areas, and they had no more tricks, so they did not even bother trying to defend.
“Erini. Erio. We-”
They held hands and entwined their fingers.
“Mhm. We’ll always be together.”
The girls swore an oath before they exploded under Mary’s fist.
Mary’s fangs grew longer before she consumed what little remained of their flesh.
She kept going in the sky, then fell towards the earth.
Ami was in her landing spot.
She caught Mary with both hands while looking bashful: ‘I alway wanted to do that.’
Maybe Mary was also embarrassed to be held like a princess, as her cheeks faintly blushed.
Then, Mary stood up, though a little reluctantly, and they looked up at the sky again.
“I can’t believe a mountain came flying at us. Where was it from, I wonder?”
“It was pretty big, wasn’t it?”
“Mhm. It would have been a huge deal if everyone was still alive.”
“We’re the only ones who saw it, Ami.”
“It seems kinda romantic when you look at it like that…… Like a shooting star!”
“Was it that wonderful?”
“……Maybe not.”
“Hehehe, yeah.”
“Mhm, it’s totally different! But everything seems romantic when I’m with you,sis!”
Mary and Ami laughed together.
The air felt peaceful, so peaceful that they almost forgot the world was ending.
“Aah…… You know, I didn’t think I could feel like this while parting with you, sis. It’s all thanks to God.”

Nothing changed the reality that Vent used Ami’s life to manifest.

She probably created it with Wheel of Fortune.
Mary froze up.
This was too sudden, and she was too surprised to respond right away.

Ami slowly looked up after she heard no answer.
“Y-Yeah. A cheap ring like this wouldn’t suit a princess anyway.”
Mary kindly spoke to Ami, who had teary eyes now.
“I’m waiting.”

“I figured you already know the answer.”

“Also, I want you to put this on my finger yourself.”

This time, Mary took Ami’s hand.

This enticed Mary and she also smiled.
Then, while still smiling, Ami jumped into Mary’s chest.
“Aah…… I feel so happy that I’m getting a head rush.”
“That’s a dreamy state of mind.”
“Mhm, maybe it’s a dream. Hehehe, I wanna see it……. A dream where I’m happy all the time. Maybe I’ll live in a dream like that forever if I sleep now……”
“Is it that comfortable between my arms?”
“Mhm, when you hug me…… It feels so nice and soft. So I think…… I can really see a wonderful dream if I sleep here.”
Ami rubbed her cheeks on Mary’s body.
Mary slid her fingers through Ami’s hair.
“Ahh, I’m so sleepy. But…… I have to do one last important thing……”
“Yes, we haven’t done the ceremony yet.”

Mary and Ami looked at each other.

Ami squinted her eyes and closed her eyelids, and let her consciousness go.
