The life of the woman named Stella Grant was not a blessed one.
Her father was falsely accused of being a thief and executed.
Her mother became mentally ill after this incident and took her own life before long.
The adolescent Stella did not have a single relative left, but let alone help her, the villagers said her blood was foul and oppressed her.
However, Stella met a woman named Luno who was also oppressed and not allowed to live in the village.
The moment Stella saw her, she thought, ‘Goddess’.
However, the villagers called her ‘monster’.

Finally, people connected to Pupa Industries started to visit as well, and even Stella realized that some big plan was taking place there.

In the end, time went on without anyone telling Stella about the plans.
Then, one day.
After eating dinner, while Stella was relaxing, Luno spoke to her with a serious look on her face.
“I think I’d like to die.”
Stella of course vehemently opposed this abrupt coming out.
“T-That’s horrible! I want to stay with you Luno!”
“Ah…… I’m sorry, you misunderstand. That’s not what I meant.”
“What else could you mean!?”
“I’m immortal right now. No disaster, illness, or even the passage of time can kill me.”
Then, Luno began to talk about the thing sealed within her, World, and her intimate friend Mitis.
As long as that was inside her, this curse of immortality would never be lifted.
However, she could get rid of it if she joined King Henry’s plans.
It was dangerous, of course.
But she could not stand the idea of living like this and watching Stella grow old alone.
“You love me as a Goddess. But if I start getting old and turn into a granny……”
Stella interrupted Luno’s fearful remark and stated definitively:
“I will always love you, sis Luno! We’ll always be together even if you turn into a granny!”
Luno felt saved and smiled with tears in her eyes.
They shared their first kiss that day.
Walk together, decay together.
Their hearts danced to that hopeful future.
It was a few days after that when the baby who would be World’s vessel was born.
Luno was a God.
Needless to say, her strong willpower pushed the vessel’s birth ahead.

The experiment called World Destruction was carried out in Pupa’s laboratory.
Stella was also present at the location.
She was in a room separated from the device by reinforced glass.
Luno was sitting on a chair and had countless cables connected to her body.
There was a metal cradle next to her.
In it, Stella saw a baby with the same hair color as hers.
Stella felt sick at the heart when she thought about that baby being sacrificed.
However, Luno wanted this even despite that.
Henry probably felt the same way as well.
If that baby’s sacrifice would bring peace to the world, then it was probably judged a necessary sacrifice.
Stella was in incalculable mental anguish and tragedy of determination.
This was not something she could meddle in.
All the researchers participating in the experiment looked very tense.
Unable to do anything among the tense atmosphere, Stella just stared at Luno from the corner of a room.
Their eyes met for a moment.
Luno kindly smiled.
Stella smiled back.
That was the last exchange between them.
The device exploded immediately after the experiment started.
Stella’s beloved family scattered into pieces right in front of her eyes.
The arm that caressed her head got caught in a pipe, and the eyes that kindly looked at her got slammed against the glass and got crushed.
Stella stood still and silently looked on.
Images of distorted limbs burned into her mind.
Not even half of Luno’s beloved face was intact.
Instead of her face, her gouged and exposed brain was there.
The body Stella touched and was touched by so many times burned to a crisp, and the hickey she gave her the previous day was gone.
It happened right after World was removed from Luno, so she had already lost her immortality.
No, the arcana of Death God could still let her survive after losing four limbs, half of her head, and getting her body burned to a crisp.
But she probably did not desire that.
Because World, which was supposed to vanish, instead was released and took shelter in Stella.
So perhaps she realized that there was no more hope left in this world.
There was a huge chaos on the site.
King Henry was put under protection.
He was thankfully unscathed, but his face was pale with despair.
The baby who was miraculously unhurt also got carried out of the room.

Then, Stella finally comprehended the reality, and collapsed from her knees.
“Sis Luno……?”
Speaking it out loud made her loss all the more evident.
She was gone.
She died.
Those tender days were never going to come back.
“No…… Nooo! Lunooo…… Lunooooooo!”
She screamed and tried to crawl into the room, but was stopped by a researcher.
She could see it.
She could see Luno’s corpse.
“Luno! Please, please stay with me!”
It was right there.
Luno’s scattered arm.
“You said you’d grow old and be with me!”
She just wanted to touch her for one last time.
That fleeting wish of the young girl was not granted.
“You promised! Luno! Aaaaaggggh!”
Her arms were bound behind her back, and she was taken out of the room.
The door closed.
The world was distant.
Luno’s body was arcana, and thus precious research material.
Stella never got to see that corpse ever again.
