Peter suddenly shielded his face with his arms at the sudden movement of Dimensional Power.

Boom!

A tremendous explosion erupted in front of him, and Peter was blasted toward the ground.

Even amidst his dazed state, he hastily generated anti-gravity around his body, but there wasn’t enough time.

Peter crashed through the window of a five-story building and slammed inside.

Yonghoon looked in the direction where the enemy had fallen with a grave expression.

Judging by how the enemy was falling after the explosion, his limbs seemed intact. The armor he was wearing was clearly not ordinary.

If that Awakened had abilities similar to President Arthur or other monsters, he would definitely possess incredible regenerative powers.

It was obvious he would recover from that level of damage in no time.

Moreover, the enemy was a long-range area-of-effect type. If he arrived here, the team members would be in danger.

Yonghoon shouted to his teammates.

“Hold on just a little longer!”

Yonghoon opened a dimensional tunnel and teleported to the front of the building where the enemy had crashed.

Standing on the rooftop of the five-story building, Yonghoon stared across the street at the building.

The building the enemy had crashed into began to shake violently.

Moments later, the center of the rooftop exploded. Chunks of cement shot up into the sky.

At the same time, the Awakened burst out from the hole and soared into the sky.

The parts of his body not covered by armor were bloodied. Wounds that exposed even the bone were healing at an incredible speed.

The armor the Awakened was wearing suffered no major damage except for some scorching. It was incredibly durable armor.

Yonghoon gritted his teeth. The enemy’s emergence point from the building was completely different from what he had expected.

Yonghoon, who had been preparing to launch a spatial sword toward the shattered window, missed the rapidly ascending enemy.

Peter continued soaring into the sky. He finally stopped after ascending over 1km. Only then did Peter let out a rough breath.

His sunglasses were already shattered, revealing his gray eyes, but most of his wounds had already healed.

The recent attack had even shocked Peter. If it hadn’t been for the armor made from an A-rank insect, he might have lost his life right there.

That’s why he had panicked, smashed through the wall, and fled into the air.

The enemy’s attack was definitely the innate ability of a Strike-type Awakened. And it was at least the attack of an A-rank Awakened.

However, what he had sensed earlier was definitely the Dimensional Power of a spatial ability user.

‘A Linker who possesses both spatial and strike abilities?’

Peter shook his head. Linkers couldn’t use two abilities simultaneously.

‘Then a strike-type Awakened pushed a spear into a dimensional tunnel created by a spatial ability user and detonated an innate ability?’

Peter was dumbfounded by his own thought.

Theoretically, it was possible. But it wasn’t something that could be done just by coordinating. He had never seen Awakened operate their abilities like that before.

Besides, there were two A-rank Awakened in such a short time-no matter how he thought about it, the development speed of Awakened in this world was too fast.

Still, no matter what method they used, he had been attacked. He definitely needed to pay them back.

The Strike-type Awakened who used his innate ability would have exhausted all his Dimensional Power. Only the spatial ability user remained, but spatial swords that couldn’t carry Dimensional Power were meaningless against Dimensional Beasts or himself.

Peter started flying again toward where the Dimensional Beast was.

He decided to utterly destroy everything around the Dimensional Beast.

Yonghoon grew anxious when he saw Peter moving toward the Dimensional Beast. But the distance to the enemy was too great. At this range, it was difficult to accurately strike with a spatial sword.

Opening a dimensional tunnel near Peter would likely get him immediately detected. Moreover, he would probably fall straight down without even managing a few attacks.

But there was no time. If things continued like this, his companions would be in danger.

Yonghoon drew his sword and opened a dimensional tunnel.

Yonghoon emerged at 1.5km above ground,

500m higher than Peter.

As he began to fall downward, Yonghoon spotted Peter flying toward the Dimensional Beast below him.

Yonghoon pressed his arms against his waist and began a freefall toward Peter.

Peter approached rapidly.

Yonghoon inwardly gave a bitter smile. He had never expected that the drop training he learned in the other world would help him like this.

Once he got close enough to Peter, Yonghoon infused Dimensional Power into his sword and swung it in midair. Though his stance wobbled due to the sudden aerial movement, he managed to swing the sword.

Peter instinctively curled his body at the burst of Dimensional Power erupting from all directions.

It was a spatial sword.

Peter gave a bitter laugh at his own reflexive movement.

Spatial swords were useless against him, but his body had reacted out of habit.

However, that habit saved Peter.

A spatial sword imbued with Dimensional Power swept toward Peter.

Peter’s armor was slashed, and the skin underneath was split open. Blood sprayed from Peter’s body.

Peter was stunned.

The armor made from an A-rank Dimensional Beast had been cut by a spatial sword.

It made no sense. The armor, which only got scratched even by attacks from A-rank Strike-type Awakened, had been sliced by a spatial sword that couldn’t even carry Dimensional Power.

Moreover, they were 1km above the ground. He shouldn’t have been attacked.

“No way! This can’t be happening!”

Peter shouted in disbelief and scanned his surroundings. He could sense someone falling toward him from above.

Peter hurriedly looked up and blocked the incoming sword with his arm. Yonghoon’s sword pierced through the armor and embedded itself deep in his arm.

Peter, with the sword stuck in his arm, fell downward together with Yonghoon.

Yonghoon and Peter’s eyes met.

Peter prioritized crushing the Awakened in front of him over solving his curiosity.

He focused the Dimensional Power he barely gathered at Yonghoon, pushing him back. The sword began to pull out from Peter’s arm.

“I won’t let you.”

Yonghoon grabbed Peter’s arm with his other hand.

They had now moved more than 500m away from where the dimensional tunnel had formed. They had exited the turbulent Dimensional Power zone.

Yonghoon created a dimensional tunnel beneath them. Sparks from Dimensional Repulsion danced across Peter’s body, but the force of gravitational acceleration was stronger. In the end, Yonghoon and Peter disappeared into the dimensional tunnel.

In the forest where the Dimensional Beast was, tremendous explosions continued.

Blood trickled from team leader Han’s mouth.

Around the group, it felt as if bombs were constantly falling. The tremendous explosions continued.

Just before Yonghoon left the group, the Dimensional Beast’s body color had changed for a while and then stopped, and dozens of glowing orbs had formed around it.

Everyone was shocked. Though smaller and dimmer, they were the same kind as the monster’s Dimensional Power orbs.

Team leader Han shouted to the group.

“Gather around me!”

Once the group gathered, team leader Han poured his Dimensional Power into the Relic shield.

A dome-shaped green barrier formed around the group. It was the ability of the Relic shield.

As soon as the barrier formed, the glowing orbs created by the Dimensional Beast flew in all directions.

The surroundings exploded violently. It was like a carpet bombing of the area.

The explosions battered the barrier created by team leader Han. His Dimensional Power drained rapidly, and the shock from the impacts also caused him damage.

Seeing team leader Han bleeding from his mouth, Eunseo snatched the shield away. The barrier, which had been fading, stabilized again.

“How long is this going to continue? At this rate, there’s no end!”

Eunseo shouted as she infused Dimensional Power into the shield.

The group agreed with her words. If Eunseo also ran out of Dimensional Power, they would all be doomed.

It was then.

Suddenly, the Dimensional Beast’s attacks stopped completely.

The group blinked in surprise.

It wasn’t that the Dimensional Beast’s Dimensional Power had run out. They couldn’t understand why it had stopped attacking.

But Sunhee quickly dashed forward. Either way, now was their chance.

The group, startled, hurriedly followed Sunhee.

Upon reaching the Dimensional Beast, she immediately stepped onto its body and leapt onto the giant Larva.

Sunhee placed her hand on the Larva’s back. She had previously heard from the Linkers about the location of the Dimensional Beast’s core.

If Sunhee could contaminate the Dimensional Beast’s core, it wouldn’t be able to use Dimensional Power for attacks or defense, and Dohyeon’s attacks would work.

Sunhee focused her mind.

It was a monster one step above her. But she had once contaminated a B-rank monster’s core when she was still C-rank.

Her Dimensional Power pierced through the Dimensional Beast’s back and soon located the core.

She began to contaminate the Dimensional Core.

But this time, things didn’t go her way. Her Dimensional Power started to be pushed back. Following that, the Dimensional Beast’s Dimensional Power surged toward her.

‘Ah, no!’

Sparks erupted from Sunhee’s body, her face filled with shock. She was flung off the monster’s body.

Sunhee tumbled across the ground after flying a considerable distance. The startled group rushed toward her.

Fortunately, Sunhee wasn’t seriously injured. She pushed herself up and stared at the Dimensional Beast. If her ability didn’t work, there was no way to defeat it.

After Sunhee’s failure, Eunseo, wearing a grim expression, handed the Relic shield to team leader Han. She grabbed another shield and approached the Dimensional Beast. She intended to flip the beast over with her own ability.

And then–

From afar, hundreds, thousands of sharp sounds began to echo.

“Kyaaaah!”

Everyone turned toward Jeju City in shock. The forest had already been completely destroyed, revealing a clear view toward Jeju City.

In the group’s sight, they could see an enormous horde of corrupted humans charging from Jeju City.

Seeing this, team leader Han seemed to understand why the color of the monster’s shell had changed and why it had suddenly stopped attacking.

The monster had scattered Dimensional Power to summon the corrupted humans here. Then, to avoid harming them, it had ceased its attacks.

Team leader Han shouted to the group.

“Hurry! Everyone, stick close to the Dimensional Beast!”

At team leader Han’s command, Eunseo and the others quickly pressed themselves against the Dimensional Beast’s side.

Eunseo placed the shield against the Dimensional Beast and began infusing it with Dimensional Power, while Dohyeon raised both hands toward the oncoming corrupted humans. Dohyeon’s face darkened at the thought of having to attack people.

Sunhee also clutched her churning stomach and stretched her hand toward the humans.

Team leader Han lifted his shield. His Dimensional Power was running low. But he couldn’t afford to die like this.

Team leader Han began infusing Dimensional Power into his shield.

People started charging at the group, breaking through the burning wasteland that had once been a forest.

The corrupted humans rolled across the ground from Sunhee’s attacks and were blown away by Dohyeon’s powers, but some managed to break through and approach the group.

Team leader Han gritted his teeth and activated a shield.

Splash!

Yonghoon and Peter, having exited the dimensional tunnel, crashed into the sea 50 meters below. With a tremendous splash, the two sank beneath the water.

They grappled underwater, and soon after, Peter managed to fully stabilize his shaken Dimensional Power.

Peter shook off Yonghoon and shot into the sky. Spiraling upward for a good distance, Peter climbed over 500 meters and continued flying around. He kept moving, sharpening his senses to avoid being attacked.

He didn’t understand it, but his opponent was someone on his level-or even stronger. Peter had no idea where the enemy might appear from.

A sound of sirens reached Peter’s ears. Startled by the sudden noise, Peter turned toward the direction of the sound.

There, countless warships were coming into view. Bewildered, Peter looked around.

This was not the sea near Jeju Island. It was the waters in front of a port in a completely unfamiliar city. Moreover, it seemed to be a Japanese naval port. Japanese writing was visible on the walls of the port buildings.

The main guns of the warships began to turn toward Peter.
