Filing a DMCA Copyright Complaint

ToonNovel takes copyright infringement seriously. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been reproduced on this site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), you may notify our designated copyright agent.

For your complaint to be valid under the DMCA, your written notice must include all of the following:

  1. Authorised signature — A physical or electronic signature of a person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  2. Identification of the work — Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the infringing material — Specific identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed. Please note: we will not accept links to general search results. You must identify individual items (specific pages or chapters) that link to the infringing content. If you send a link to another page, please describe exactly which materials are under copyright protection.
  4. Contact information — Information sufficient for us to contact you, including your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  5. Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. Accuracy statement — A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

How to Submit a DMCA Notice

Send your complete DMCA notice to our copyright agent by email. Incomplete notices cannot be processed.

⏱ Response time: We aim to respond within 48 hours of receiving a valid notice.

Upon receiving a valid and complete DMCA notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content and notify the user who submitted it.

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to support@toonnovel.com containing the required statutory information. We will reinstate the content within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant seeks a court order.

Repeat Infringers

ToonNovel will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.
